VISIT to Tamworth Brewing Company, Market Street - 21 February 2018

Civic Society members enjoyed a private group evening visit to the Tamworth Tap at 27, Market Street, courtesy of Tamworth Brewing Company proprietors George and Louise Greenaway, who made our visit complete by joining TDCS before we left!

We explored the historic premises, which date from the mid-16th century when the castle ditch was filled in, to see how they are being brought back to life, and were amazed by the night-time view of Tamworth Castle from the courtyard. George explained his on-site real-ale brewing processes, and we had opportunities for sampling and purchases!
